Commercial Roofing in San Antonio

How do you know if it’s time for a roof replacement?

Every building needs a roof, including commercial buildings. Bear Roofing Systems serves both residential, property management and commercial customers. We have just as much experience installing commercial roofs as we do in installing roofs for homeowners.

Some of our commercial expertise includes the following:

Apartment Complexes

Bear Roofing Systems has a lot of experience working with apartment complex and property management units to make sure their roofs are installed or repaired in an expert and timely manner. We work regularly with several companies to handle leaks on all their buildings as needed. We can troubleshoot where the leaks are coming from and repair the apartment roofs whether shingle or TPO. We have the equipment needed to ensure the ease and safety of our crews while working on steep slopes and additional stories and to handle large volumes of materials. If you are a property manager in need of a good roofing company to manage multiple roofs and repairs, please contact us. We have references from quite a few satisfied customers and property managers for this kind of work.

TPO Roofs

There are a couple of different ways to install single-ply membrane roofs on a commercial building. One of the most common is probably via a TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) membrane. These membranes come in sheets of 10-20 feet, are generally rolled up until installed at the construction site. TPO roofs owe their popularity to their ability to save money on electricity, since TPO naturally reflects UV rays. In addition to the membrane, TPO roofs are often paired with foam installation, in the form of polyiso foam, EPS foam, or XPS foam. Whatever installation a company might want to use for their commercial building, Bear Roofing has the knowledge of how to make it happen.

EPDM Roofs

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) is another kind of roofing membrane. Whereas TPO tends to look and feel like a plastic sheet, EPDM looks and feels more like rubber, earning it the nickname “rubber roofing.” These roofs, although they last a long time, generally need to be “ballasted” with rocks or some kind of covering material. Bear Roofing can handle both the installation and the ballasting process.

Built-Up Roofing/Modified Bitumen Roofing

These two kinds of roofs are very close in style and construction. Built-Up roofing systems are constructed on the building itself, using alternating layers of adhesive and asphalt. Modified Bitumen roofs follow a similar pattern to Built-Up Roofs, but instead of an adhesive layer, a Modified Bitumen roof uses a polymer membrane. A Modified Bitumen roof, therefore, allows a roof to have the strength of an asphalt Built-Up roof with the flexibility and energy efficiency of a TPO roof.

Metal Roofing

Metal roofs aren’t just for houses. Companies with sloped-roof buildings love to have metal roofs because of its durability and how many options there are to choose from. A metal roof can be made from copper, aluminum, stainless steel, tin, metal composites, and galvanized steel, to name a few.

Whatever kind of roof you might want to install on your commercial or company building, Bear Roofing has the knowledge and expertise to install all of it. We’d love to work with you!
